Before beginning any repair, ensure your safety by unplugging the dryer's power cord from the electrical outlet.
Depending on your dryer model, detach the control panel in one of two ways. You can either use a putty knife to release the spring clips under the front corners, or you can pull off the plastic end caps to access and remove the screws securing the panel.
Once the control panel is unfastened, carefully rotate it upwards and back. It will rest on its hinges, giving you access to the main top panel.

Unscrew the two screws that secure the main top panel to the dryer cabinet. Once the screws are out, slide the top panel forward and lift it off to remove it completely.

Insert a putty knife or a flat-head screwdriver into the gap between the upper and lower front panels to release the two retaining clips. The lower panel will then tilt forward and can be lifted off its bottom hooks.

Locate the two large door springs, one on each side inside the cabinet. Carefully unhook them from the frame to release tension from the front panel assembly.

Prepare the front panel for removal. First, disconnect the moisture sensor wire and the door switch wire harness. Next, remove all screws securing the front panel to the cabinet at the top and bottom, as well as the screws holding the lint screen duct in place.

With all wires disconnected and screws removed, carefully lift the entire front panel assembly up and away from the dryer cabinet. Set it aside safely on a soft surface to avoid scratches.

Reach inside and push the idler pulley to release tension on the drive belt, then unloop the belt from the motor shaft. If the belt is intact, use it as a handle to lift the heavy drum up and out of the dryer cabinet. Discard the old belt.

Using a small flat-head screwdriver, carefully pry the small tri-ring off the idler arm shaft. Slide the old pulley wheel and its washer off the shaft and discard them.

Remove all four old drum support rollers. You will need to pry off the tri-rings from both the front and back of each roller shaft. There are two rollers on the front bulkhead and two on the rear panel of the dryer cabinet.

Clean any lint or residue from the roller shafts. For each of the four shafts, slide a new tri-ring onto the back, then place the new roller on the shaft. Secure each roller by snapping a new tri-ring onto the front.

Slide the provided washer onto the idler arm shaft first, followed by the new pulley wheel. Secure the assembly by snapping the new tri-ring into the groove on the end of the shaft.

Carefully place the drum back inside the dryer cabinet, ensuring its rear rim rests securely on the two new rear support rollers.

Drape the new belt over the drum with the ribbed side facing down. Loop the belt around the motor shaft, then route it under the idler pulley. Push the pulley to create tension and complete the zig-zag formation.

Manually rotate the drum a few times. This helps to center the new belt and ensures it is tracking correctly before you reassemble the front panel.

Position the front panel assembly back onto the cabinet. Align the drum's front rim with the two new support rollers on the panel. The top edge of the panel should hook onto the cabinet brackets.

Reinstall all screws to secure the front panel to the cabinet frame and the lint duct. Reconnect the moisture sensor wire and the door switch wire harness. Finally, reattach the two door springs.

Hook the bottom of the lower access panel onto the dryer frame, then push the top until it snaps securely into the retaining clips.

First, reconnect the door switch wire connector. Then, slide the main top panel back into position and secure it with the two screws you removed earlier.

Rotate the control panel back down. If your model uses clips, press down firmly to snap it into place. If your model uses screws, reinstall them and then snap the plastic end caps back on.

Plug the dryer's power cord back into the wall outlet. Your repair is now complete. Run a test cycle to ensure the dryer is operating quietly and correctly.
