Thermal Fuse

Dryer drum drive belt. This belt is approximately 1/4" wide x 92-1/4" long. It is flat on one side and has 4 ribs and 3 grooves on the other. It replaces many other belts, including some with 5 ribs and 4 grooves. The belt attaches to the motor pulley and spins the drum as the motor rotates

Dryer takes too long

Keep airflow clean with this replacement lint filter, part number WP37001142, built for select Amana, Maytag, Whirlpool, Admiral, Magic Chef, or Crosley Dryers.

The lint filter might be clogged. Dryer sheets and fabric softener can leave a residue on the lint filter, reducing the air flow. If the lint filter is clogged, clean it. Confirm the lint filter housing and grille, if applicable, are free of lint build up as well.

Dryer overheating

A broken lint filter can allow excess lint to clog the air duct or lint filter housing, resulting in the dryer overheating. Inspect the lint filter for holes or other damage and replace if necessary.

Dryer won't stop

The lint filter might be clogged. Dryer sheets and fabric softener can leave a residue on the lint filter, reducing the air flow. If the lint filter is clogged, clean it.

Dryer damaging clothes

The lint filter is inserted into the filter housing to collect lint passing through the air duct. If the filter is damaged and not seated properly, clothes can get caught and tear on the filter. Inspect the filter for any damage and replace the part if necessary

Dryer has a burning smell

Excessive lint build-up in the dryer can be a fire hazard. The element or burner can cause the lint to catch on fire. It is recommened to clean out the dryer and dryer venting at least once a year.
