Range vent hood fan or blower not working

Move air effectively with this replacement fan blade, part number 0088161, made for select Amana or Caloric Range Vent Hood.

Ensure that the fan blade turns freely. If the fan does not turn freely, check to see if the fan blade is rubbing against the blower housing. Inspect the fan blade for damage. If the fan blade is damaged, replace it.

Range vent hood motor is loud or noisy

The fan blade might be worn out and loose on the motor shaft causing it scrape on the fan housing. Check to make sure the blade is tight on the motor shaft and has not slipped on the shaft causing it to contact the fan housing. If the fan blade is loose on the motor shaft it should be replaced. 

Range vent hood doesn't vent to the outside

Check to see if the fan blade is still tightly fastened to the motor shaft. If the blade is loose, try to tighten it. If the blade cannot be properly tightened, replace it.

Range vent hood is overheating

If the fan blade is clogged with debris the air flow will be restricted which can cause the range vent hood to overheat. You can try cleaning the fan blade with dish soap and warm water. If the fan blade cannot be cleaned or is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

Range vent hood turns off by itself
