Step By Step Instructions

To replace the control board protection cover in your lg washer, you will need needle nose pliers, a flathead screwdriver, and a drill driver with a phillips bit.

Before you begin the procedure, unplug the washer.

Pull the washer away from the wall.

Unthread the two screws on the top panel.

Slide and lift the top panel off.

Remove the twist tie.
7
Release the top three tabs from the cover.

Detach the retaining clip from the cover and remove the cover.

To install the new protection cover, align the three tabs under the main control board with the cover then roll forward to snap in place.

Attach the retaining clip.

Reattach the twist tie.

Set and slide the top panel onto the washer.
13
Rethread the two screws onto the panel.
14
Push the washer back into place.
15
Turn on the power, and your washer should be ready for use.
