Before you begin, confirm the engine and muffler have cooled.

Use the 10 mm socket to unthread the three mounting screws securing the muffler guard.

With the screws unthreaded, you can remove the old guard.

To install the new muffler guard, align it over the muffler and thread the three mounting screws to secure the guard to the engine block.
