turn off the water supply to the appliance

have an assistant help you to move the appliance away from the wall

using a quarter-inch socket, unthread the two mounting screws securing the lower outer access panel

set the outer panel and inserts aside

unthread the screws to release the inner access panel from the frame

use pliers to help detach both door hinge springs from the hinges
15
install the new hinge spring by hooking one end onto the bracket and the other onto the hinge

confirm the door opens and closes properly

reposition the inner access panel and thread the screws to secure it to the frame

make sure the inserts are positioned

align the panel and rethread the mounting screws
